Portrait Ensemble

The Portrait Ensemble is a chamber jazz group, based in NYC, whose members hail from around the globe: Japan, Chile, and the USA. They have performed at Jazz @ Lincoln Center, the Blue Note, the Monterey Jazz Festival, the Panama Jazz Festival, and other venues. The quartet plays cool jazz, with a repertoire spanning from Ahmad Jamal and Miles Davis to the Beatles and Bach, bringing an elegant ambience to each event at which they perform.

 

They regularly collaborate with some of the finest musicians in the city and are able to augment the ensemble, upon request, to include any instrument, from vocals, to piano, to vibraphone. They are also able to prepare specially requested repertoire.
